Not suitable for family and the cleaning staff has to be replaced

The cleaning service did not change our blanket sheet. He knows we were there for three nights. Also he did on purpose that the glasses being left out in the toilet and still being used. Did he do it on purpose? Also the breakfast is lousy.

It was ok

The hotel staff was friendly and recommended places of interest to visit. The room was comfy but the shower area was the absolute highlight! we stayed in other hotels during this trip but the shower at this hotel was top notch!

The breakfast was bleah, we took only one mouthful and decided not to waste calories on it. The photo presented looked waaayyy better than the taste. It's quite a distance from the train station and we dragged our luggage a distance to get there

What was the highlight of FN Hotel

Having said above, it is still good and highly recommended for the affordable price range.

The bed is very comfy except room is small where no proper place to place your open luggage except on the floor and can fit 1 open luggage for single bedroom. While twin bedroom is slightly more spacious but have to be on the floor. Overall is highly recommended.

The breakfast is a real surprise cos it is not to our expectation. We were expecting proper breakfast in the coffee house. It turns out to be MC Donald for consecutive 6 days though with different varieties. Not to mentioned NOT Healthy, it s fast food (processed) and for the additional price paid.

What was the highlight of FN Hotel

Quiet stay.

We stayed in the hotel during weekend and the artsy fatsy huashan 1914 park located opposite the hotel gets pretty crowded with events and exhibitions, can take alook during weekends if you are interested. The room is clean and spacious and full of mirrors, haha. The toilet bowl is heated which makes it comfortable during cold days.

Didnt expect the location of the hotel to be pretty far away from the nearest metro station, but there are streets selling electronics stuff just across the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel is pretty quiet with nothing much to shop around at night. The breakfast vouchers is actually mcdonalds vouchers and would need to be taken from the counter each morning, we didnt take it and went out for other breakfast instead.

A clean, comfortable, convenient hotel with helpful staff. Shame about the breakfast, though.

Our room was spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. Great to have a bathtub after a long day walking in Taipei heat! The hotel staff were polite and helpful. Great value for money if you need to be in the area, and don't mind walking a few minutes to the nearest MRT station. Super-close to the venue I was in town to attend (Syntrend) and the Huashan 1814 precinct, featuring bars, shops and cinemas. Also - the tiny 'Bridgisan' kitchen and bar around the corner from the hotel is a must-try (if you can get in!)

The breakfast most mornings was a bag of McDonalds picked up from reception, normally with a cold hash brown. My vegetarian partner wasn't keen on the only option available each day (Sausage McMuffins). We were only provided with one lift access card, which made coming and going difficult for two people with different daily agendas. Because the lift is separate from the lobby (and shared with an office building), I had to be escorted to the lift by the hotel receptionist every time I needed to go upstairs.

awful breakfast. too much sugary stuff. awful white bread. occasional weird tasting Chinese food.No signs in front of dishes.

room cleaning was v sporadic. after 1 at day I would return from city trips after 2pm and each time the room was not made.

- services is good and friendly 24hours available - shampoo n conditioner they use brand stuff which is better then other standard hotel. - lev 3 there is a public area for cookie or coffee - decoration is great n decent.

- bed is comfy, but the room temperature for the air con doesn't seem to that well. - indication of locker n lighting wasn't that clear need sometime to find it. - parking require driving high skill but they have a good driver who help u to park ( tip for $100 ) during working hours only. - did not reply message on time for confirming late check out.

very disappointed, many better options in Taipei within the same price range

the decor of the hotel rooms are nice, also quite spacious compared to most Taipei accommodations of this price range

we were very disappointed with our stay at Ciao Hotel. we had two rooms, one superior rooms and one standard. The air-conditioning wasn't working at the superior room and after failing to fix it we had to change rooms. almost 80% of the electric socket covers were all falling out. Lights turn on/off on it's own. The USB outlet wasn't working. The toilets and shower areas were clean enough, but the floors were all dusty and also with hair from previous guests. The tub in my room was dripping water. The wooden blinds in the room weren't very efficient in blocking light, so those who are easily woken up by light would suffer greatly. The breakfast that was included in the rate was very basic, but staff manning the restaurant was less than enthusiastic, almost non-responsive, no smile nor greeting whatsoever. The "coffee corner" had no refreshments as advertised, and the tea bag glass jar was not refilled for the whole time we were there (arrived in the afternoon, checked out next day noon). The bin that was filled with food wasn't cleared either. We were aware that the location wasn't particularly convenient but it was ok for us as we mostly went out by taxi. Also note that the hotel is located inside an office building sharing the same elevator, so a separate key card is required for elevator use.
